Finn Hill (Kirkland) Neighborhood Plan

Project Summary

Neighborhood plans allow residents to influence how their area will develop in subsequent decades. These visions are particularly important for neighborhoods facing population growth.

As part of a larger team, we conducted extensive public outreach to residents of the Finn Hill Neighborhood in Kirkland, WA. From these workshops, we were able to construct value statements for the neighborhood, including preserving important neighborhood characteristics and guiding development and neighborhood improvement. We also asked about policy directions, including desired outcome of tree protection policies. We collected these responses and provided a draft Neighborhood Plan to provide the City of Kirkland with a unified vision for the neighborhood.

Our draft plan provided the basis for the adopted Finn Hill Neighborhood plan, Section 15 P of Kirkland's Comprehensive Plan.
